I love this piece....hand painted from one of my photos.  I'm trying to decide the backside of my piece.

Any suggestions?

In the midst of working on projects.  This is one block of many......I might make a king size quilt.  Yikes...one too many blocks and pressing.

Paducah, KY

BEFORE

This is old market street in Paducah, KY.  I love this street with the southern charm.

AFTER

I loved using the Perfect Photo Suite effects on this photo.  I used the vignette and the landscape option.  It really looks different.

Cambodian Temple

I was fortunate to take a trip to Singapore, Bali and Cambodia.  On that adventure I captured a temple in the sweltering humidity and heat.

BEFORE

AFTER

I cropped this photo and used Lightroom and made some fine tuning and then used NiK software to sharpen the photo and enhance some of the colors with hue and saturation.  I think I might like the photo before making some corrections.

AZ Sunset

Arizona has beautiful sunsets.  I love this one.

BEFORE

AFTER

I used a custom shape inside the lettering of Arizona Sunsets.  That was introduced in Lesson 8 of CS6   I enhanced the lettering with a gradient overlay and bevel and emboss technique and added a custom shape - the star.  Arizona skies are amazing.

Love Thistles

I tried one of the new techniques using a brush to make changes to a photograph.  This was interesting and see if you can tell the difference between the before and after photograph of a thistle taken at Desert Botanical Garden.

BEFORE

AFTER

This photo has some brushed effects to add interest to this thistle.  Some of the brush marks look a little blurry on the upper part and around the flower.

TURF PARADISE, Phoenix, AZ

Another adventure with Photoshop CS6.  I decided to use the Photo Merge Technique.  These are a few photos that I decided to merge.  They were taken at the Turf Paradise in Phoenix, AZ.  That was a fun experience if you like horses, people and beer.  I also used some color enhancements to brighten the photos and had fun cropping a lot of junk out of the photos.

BEFORE

AFTER

Thanks to CS6 that I was able to use the quick select tool and change the color of the sky.  I love the photomerge option and this photo is a better representation of Turf Paradise.

That was a fun day with my friend's family.

This photo was a fun one for me.  He was real happy when his grandma (my friend) gave him her winnings!!!!

Easter Moments

BEFORE

My friend wanted some family photos.  That was challenging since it was a bright mid-morning Easter scene.  I wanted to post something  showing the joys in life.

                                                                        AFTER

I tried using the Perfect Photo Portrait filter to enhance some of the faces and vignettes to give more dimension.  I cropped the photo and liked the new filters to make the photo more pleasing.
I love the vignette on the two photos, but I love their dog.  He was the perfect model.

Paducah, Kentucky

BEFORE

I loved the visit to Paducah, Kentucky.  I stayed at a friend’s property and there was a man-made pond.  I loved this place because it was so green and peaceful.

AFTER

I used onone software effects of color fill and cropped the photograph.  In Photoshop I enhanced the sky and brought out the color in the pond.  I applied curves and hue and saturation to augment the colors in this photograph.

St. Patty's Day with kids!!!

St. Patty Day fun with the kids!

BEFORE
She is so adorable grabbing for items from the Pot of Gold PiƱata, but something needed to be changed.

AFTER
I made sure to make her the focus instead of someone’s skirt and I did crop and used the burn tool to bring out the girl’s face since she was in the shade.

The Red Barn

BEFORE

This red barn was taken on a back road of Padacuh, Kentucky.  It was great to be in the country and capture the red barn.

AFTER

I used the content aware tool to remove the electric pole and lines in the background on the left side of the photograph and remove electric wiring on the barn and going through the trees.
